ATBC2027 will take place at the Omar Bongo Ondimba Convention Center (Palais des Congrès Omar Bongo Ondimba) in Libreville, Gabon, from 20–25 June 2027.

The complex stands in the Cité de la Démocratie, the government and diplomatic quarter of Libreville. First built in the 1970s, it was left unused for years and has now been completely rehabilitated; it reopened on 3 May 2026 and is once again Gabon's main venue for international summits and conferences.

Halls & capacity

The rehabilitated complex covers roughly 43,000 m² and offers, among other spaces:

  • A main auditorium seating up to about 3,000 — enough for the plenary sessions of the whole meeting.
  • A second reception hall for around 1,000 people, suitable for the opening ceremony and the conference dinner.
  • Around a dozen meeting rooms built to international standards, for parallel symposia, open format sessions and workshops.
  • Foyers and circulation space for posters, coffee breaks and exhibitors.

Libreville, in practice

Libreville sits on the Atlantic coast at the edge of one of the world's best preserved tropical rainforests, and is Gabon's economic and political hub. International organisations, diplomatic missions and multinational companies give it a cosmopolitan, multilingual character. The city is safe and people are welcoming.

  • Weather. The meeting falls in the long dry season. July averages 22 °C at night and 28 °C by day, with only about 30 mm of rain in the month and around 83 % humidity. Skies are often cloudy and air comes cool off the ocean, so both strong sun and heavy rain are limited — one of the most comfortable times of year.
  • Getting around. Taxis, as in most African capitals. Libreville is compact, so journeys are short.
  • Health. The city has internationally accredited hospitals.
  • Language and currency. French, and the Central African CFA franc (XAF).
